From vaccinations to birthdays and family visits, here’s what activities we’ve been up to

The first few months of 2021 were difficult for everyone, so our care staff at The Beeches Residential Home continued to go above and beyond to ensure our residents have remained happy and healthy.

We have been enjoying a number of activities and with the welcome of the Spring sunshine, we have been able to spend more time in our garden and having frequent visits with our loved ones.

Vaccinations

We are delighted to announce, this past month saw all of our residents and staff at The Beeches receive both doses of their COVID-19 vaccinations.

Marking a crucial milestone in our fight against the virus, you can read all about our second round of vaccinations here!

Keeping Fit

As a home that promotes an active lifestyle, we know exercise plays an essential role in boosting motivation and happiness in everyone.

At The Beeches Residential Home, we host our weekly Keep fit Wednesdays which our residents love joining in on. As music enthusiasts, we often finish off our exercise activities with some musical instruments!

Arts and Crafts activities

We love arts and crafts activities here at The Beeches Residential Home as it is a wonderful way to include everyone in the home to unwind while also exercising the mind at the same time. Crafting is an activity that can be enjoyed by the young, the elderly, and everyone in between.

Celebrations

With a wonderful community of 40 residents, we have been busy celebrating lots of big birthdays…and eating lots of cake. Celebrating residents’ birthdays always brings a smile to everyone’s faces at the home.

Friends and family visits

Over these past couple of months with government restrictions easing, we have been allowed to welcome back loved ones to our home.

Reopening our doors to friends and family has already brought so much joy and happiness into our home and we can’t wait to see more of you soon.

With restrictions now allowing two named visitors to make repeated visits to our home, head to our other blog here to learn about visiting guidance and how to arrange your visit.

We wanted to thank you all so much for your patience and understanding in these challenging times, and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to our home.

The Beeches Residential Home is are still welcoming new residents and have clear policies and procedures in place to be able to do this safely and securely.
